Finally ditched the dongle I used to carry everywhere. This hub is tiny and the three USB 3.0 ports transfer my external drive backups noticeably faster than the old one. Just wish the cable were a bit longer, but it's done exactly what I need for the past week.
The SD card slot reads my camera’s files instantly, which is exactly what I needed after upgrading to a MacBook with only USB-C ports. My old flash drive and external hard drive both work without any lag, so the three USB 3.0 ports feel plenty fast.
Plugged it into my MacBook and both my old external drive and card reader worked instantly — no driver hassle at all. The SD slot read my camera's card at full speed, and the whole thing stays cool even after an hour of transferring files.
